Getting Started

1

Open TVRE and select your TV brand

Choose from Samsung, LG, Roku, Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Hisense, TCL, or Xbox.

2

Make sure your iPhone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi

TVRE works entirely over your local network. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

3

Let TVRE scan for your TV

TVRE will automatically discover your TV. If it doesn't appear, you can enter the IP address manually.

4

Complete pairing (if required)

Some TVs require a one-time pairing step — a PIN shown on your TV screen or an approval prompt.

Pairing by TV Brand

Frequently Asked Questions

Make sure your iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (not guest network). Try turning your TV off and back on. If discovery still fails, tap "Add Manually" and enter your TV's IP address (found in your TV's Network Settings menu).
Disconnect and reconnect to your TV. For Samsung TVs, ensure the app has been approved in your TV's connected devices settings. For LG TVs, check that the IP Control or remote connection setting is enabled in your TV's network settings.
On the Remote screen, you'll see a segmented control at the top of the remote area. Tap "D-Pad", "Touchpad", or "Numpad" to switch modes instantly. Your preference is saved for your next session.
Go to the Cast tab, choose Photo or Video, and select media from your library. TVRE temporarily runs a local server on your iPhone to stream the file directly to your TV. Your media never leaves your home network.
Wake-on-LAN requires your TV to support it and have it enabled in its settings. The TV's MAC address must be saved from a previous successful connection. Also ensure your router supports WoL broadcasts on the local network.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions → find TVRE → tap Cancel Subscription. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
No. TVRE operates entirely on your local Wi-Fi network and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All communication happens directly between your iPhone and your TV. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
TVRE currently supports Samsung, LG, Roku, Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Hisense VIDAA, TCL, and Xbox. If your TV runs Roku OS or Android TV under the hood (many brands do), it may still be compatible. Try selecting the matching OS as the brand.
