TVRE stores the following data exclusively on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's standard local storage APIs:
This data is stored using standard iOS UserDefaults and is never shared with AS Apps or any third party. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
TVRE requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to discover and communicate with smart TVs. All communication happens directly between your iPhone and your TV on your home network using the following protocols:
None of this traffic is routed through AS Apps servers. No data is intercepted, logged, or stored externally.
When you cast photos or videos to your TV, TVRE runs a temporary local HTTP server on your device to serve the media file directly to your TV. This server is active only during casting and is accessible solely on your local network. No media files are uploaded to any external server.
Pairing with Android TV, Google TV, and Fire TV requires a mutual TLS handshake. TVRE includes a built-in certificate (used only for the pairing protocol). The certificate is used solely to establish a secure, encrypted connection to your TV and is not used to identify you or transmit data externally.
TVRE offers optional premium subscriptions managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. AS Apps does not process, store, or have access to your payment information. TVRE does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app uses only Apple's native frameworks and open-source libraries for TV communication (listed on our landing page). None of these libraries collect or transmit personal data.
TVRE is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal data at all, there are no special practices required for child users.
