Terms of use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of PocketPOS: Scan & Sell ("PocketPOS", "the app"), provided by AS Apps Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. App Store terms

PocketPOS is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple's terms, Apple's terms control where required.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PocketPOS on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own business use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's rules. This license does not transfer ownership of the app to you.

3. What the app does

PocketPOS is an offline-first point of sale for iPhone and iPad. It lets you scan barcodes with the camera; keep a product catalog with names, prices, costs, SKUs, barcodes, stock on hand, and variants; ring up a fast register; take cash and card payments with automatic change and split payments; produce clean, shareable and printable receipts; keep a full order history; and open and close the cash drawer with a clear count. It works fully offline and requires no account to start. All of your business data is stored on your device.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the rules that apply to your business.
• You are responsible for your own pricing, tax rates and tax calculations, receipts, and record-keeping. PocketPOS records what you enter; it does not verify that your figures are correct or compliant.
• Keep your own backups and records of anything important. The app's data lives only on your device.
• Keep your device and Apple ID secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked device can see and change your catalog, sales, and cash records.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the app.

5. PocketPOS is a tool, not an advisor

PocketPOS is a point-of-sale tool for recording sales and managing a catalog. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment or for consulting qualified professionals. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your prices, taxes, totals, change, and records, and for meeting any legal, tax, or bookkeeping obligations that apply to your business.

6. On-device data

Your catalog, sales and orders, receipts, cash-drawer records, and business settings are stored on your device. We do not host, back up, or have access to your data, and the app works without sending it to a server. Deleting the app permanently deletes its data from your device; there is no copy we can restore. Details are in our privacy policy.

7. Subscriptions and billing

PocketPOS may offer optional paid features or auto-renewing subscriptions. Any purchase is made through Apple and billed to your Apple ID; we never see your payment details. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchase validation is handled through Apple and RevenueCat, as described in the privacy policy.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use PocketPOS to record or facilitate unlawful transactions, interfere with the app, bypass access or licensing controls, or misuse paid features. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app.

9. Intellectual property

The app, website, design, branding, software, icons, and related materials are owned by AS Apps Studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app or its materials. The data you enter — your catalog, sales, and records — remains yours.

10. Privacy

Your use of PocketPOS is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains the app's no-account, offline-first design and how purchases are validated.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

PocketPOS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that barcode scanning will always succeed, or that every total, tax figure, or amount of change will be correct. You are responsible for reviewing sales and figures before you rely on them.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AS Apps Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost sales, lost revenue, incorrect totals or change, tax or accounting errors, lost data, or other losses arising from your use of or inability to use PocketPOS.

13. Changes to the app or Terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the app. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate the license granted here if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or used the app unlawfully.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Some jurisdictions may give you rights that cannot be waived by contract; these Terms do not limit those rights.

For help with the app, questions about your subscription, or anything that does not look right, visit our support page or email support@asapps.studio. We aim to reply within a couple of business days.
