Terms of Use

Last updated: April 28, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Receipt Rescue: AI Tracker ("Receipt Rescue", "the App"), provided by AS Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. App Store Terms

Receipt Rescue is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple's terms, Apple's terms control where required.

2. What The App Does

Receipt Rescue helps you capture, import, parse, organize, search, sync, and export receipts. Features may include camera capture, batch import, OCR, AI-assisted receipt parsing, duplicate detection, iCloud sync, widgets, notifications, PDF bundles, JSON export, and subscription-based Pro features.

3. Your Responsibilities

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes.
  • Review extracted receipt data before relying on it for reimbursement, tax, accounting, or legal purposes.
  • Keep your device, Apple ID, and iCloud account secure.
  • Make your own backups and exports when records are important.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, abuse, or overload the App or connected services.

4. No Professional Advice

Receipt Rescue is an organization and productivity tool. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, financial, or reimbursement advice. You are responsible for checking exported reports and consulting qualified professionals when needed.

5. OCR And AI Accuracy

Receipt OCR and AI parsing can make mistakes. Merchant names, dates, totals, tax, tip, categories, currencies, and other fields may be incomplete or inaccurate. You agree to verify important information before using it for financial, tax, reimbursement, or business decisions.

6. Cloud Parsing

If cloud parsing is enabled, the App may send the active receipt image and recognized text to Google Gemini to extract structured fields. You can disable cloud parsing in Settings. Your use of cloud parsing is also subject to the applicable terms and policies of the third-party provider.

7. iCloud And Third-Party Services

Optional iCloud sync is operated by Apple. Subscription validation is handled through Apple and RevenueCat. Anonymous analytics and crash reporting may be handled through Firebase. These services may have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or actions of third-party service providers outside our control.

8. Subscriptions And Billing

Receipt Rescue may offer optional Pro subscriptions, including monthly and yearly plans. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Prices, free trials, billing periods, renewals, and cancellations are shown at purchase time and managed through your Apple ID subscriptions.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple's App Store rules. Refund requests are handled by Apple. To manage or cancel a subscription, open iOS Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.

9. Data, Exports, And Backups

You own the receipt content you add to the App. You are responsible for maintaining records required by your employer, accountant, government agency, or other third party. Exported PDFs, CSVs, JSON files, images, and shared bundles should be reviewed by you before submission.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not use Receipt Rescue to process unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful content. You may not interfere with the App, bypass access controls, misuse subscription features, or use automated systems to overload third-party parsing or validation services.

11. Intellectual Property

The App, website, design, branding, software, icons, and related materials are owned by AS Apps or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the App or its materials.

12. Privacy

Your use of Receipt Rescue is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how receipt content, iCloud sync, Gemini parsing, RevenueCat, and Firebase are handled.

13. Disclaimer Of Warranties

Receipt Rescue is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or suitable for every tax, accounting, legal, or business requirement.

14. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AS Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, missed reimbursements, tax penalties, accounting errors, or business losses arising from your use of or inability to use Receipt Rescue.

15. Changes To The App Or Terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to features if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused services, or used the App unlawfully.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Some jurisdictions may give you rights that cannot be waived by contract; these Terms do not limit those rights.
