Terms of use
Effective date: July 15, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of FamilyBrief: Family Organizer ("FamilyBrief", "the app"), provided by AS Apps Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. App Store terms
FamilyBrief is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple's terms, Apple's terms control where required.
2. What the app does
FamilyBrief helps you capture family logistics — voice memos, screenshots, bill photos, pasted text — and turn them into confirmed tasks, appointments, deadlines, and shopping items for each family member, summarized in an evening brief. Features may include on-device AI extraction, on-device voice transcription, local notifications, widgets, and the optional FamilyBrief Plus subscription. All processing happens on your device; the app does not require an account.
3. Your responsibilities
- Use the app only for lawful purposes.
- Review every extracted item before your family relies on it.
- Keep your device and Apple ID secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked iPhone can see your family's items.
- Keep your own records of anything important — the app's data lives only on your device.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the app.
4. AI accuracy — please verify
On-device AI extraction can make mistakes. Dates, times, amounts, names, and who an item belongs to may be wrong or incomplete, and the app may miss items entirely. FamilyBrief asks you to confirm each item precisely because extraction is imperfect. You are responsible for verifying every extracted item — especially school deadlines, medical appointments, and payment amounts — against the original capture before acting on it.
5. No professional advice
FamilyBrief is an organization tool. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, educational, or childcare advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment as a parent or for consulting qualified professionals. Do not rely on the app as your only reminder for anything critical, such as medication or a legal deadline.
6. On-device processing and your data
Your captures and confirmed items are stored on your device and processed there by Apple's on-device frameworks. We do not host, back up, or have access to your content. Deleting the app permanently deletes its data from your device; there is no copy we can restore. Details are in our privacy policy.
7. Subscriptions and billing
FamilyBrief Plus unlocks unlimited family members. It is offered as:
- Yearly: $19.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Monthly: $2.99 per month.
- Lifetime: $29.99, a one-time purchase that does not renew.
Prices are shown in your local currency at purchase time and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel before it ends. Yearly and monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
To manage or cancel a subscription, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchase validation is handled through Apple and RevenueCat, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use FamilyBrief to process unlawful or harmful content, interfere with the app, bypass access controls, or misuse subscription features.
9. Intellectual property
The app, website, design, branding, software, icons, and related materials are owned by AS Apps Studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app or its materials. The content you capture and the items you confirm remain yours.
10. Privacy
Your use of FamilyBrief is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains the app's no-account, on-device design and how purchases are validated.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
FamilyBrief is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extraction will be accurate or complete.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AS Apps Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including missed appointments, missed deadlines, incorrect amounts, lost data, or other losses arising from your use of or inability to use FamilyBrief.
13. Changes to the app or Terms
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the app. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to features if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or used the app unlawfully.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Some jurisdictions may give you rights that cannot be waived by contract; these Terms do not limit those rights.
16. Support
